Unwritten Tale In Crimson
On July 16, 2024 by rubeenayasminskIt’s just a slap, you brushed it off,
It’s only a color, you washed it off.
Your weird obsession with crimson is crazy
Your presence around me always scares me.
It’s just a whisper, you said it’s nothing,
It’s just a shadow, but my heart is drumming.
Your stare, if only powerful, would torch me in blaze,
Your touch, giving me PTSD in countless ways.
It’s just a bruise, hidden under my sleeve,
It’s just a lie, one that I want to believe.
Your words, piercing through my veins,
Your love, as toxic, it remains.
It’s just a tear, you should have let it roll,
It’s just a smile, I should have worn, to play the role.
Your silence, a pause before the cataclysmic storm,
Your absence, a solace, I yearn to reform.
It’s just a dream, I wanted to scream,
It’s just a hope, to rebuild my self-esteem.
Your promises, as empty as you, meaningless and frail,
Your betrayals, like a dagger, left me impaled.
It’s just a cry, no one to hold,
It’s just a plea, my heart to be consoled.
Your impulsiveness, with me on the receiving end,
Your actions, with no remorse, just transcend.
It’s just a fight, I always shrugged it off,
It’s just a struggle, enduring the rough.
Your blows, so fierce, I saw stars and light,
Your remorse, frantic acts in the night.
It’s just apologies, repeated endlessly,
It’s just hollow words, no remorse, no repentance, wicked mentally.
Your mind convinced, I was always asking for it,
You were never wrong, entitled with the permit.
It’s just a break, I almost walked away,
It’s just Phony tears, holding me like prey.
Countless breakups, uncountable manipulations later,
Every day I plead and weep like a sheep to the slaughter.
It’s just a story, etched in my memory,
It’s just a chapter, it won’t be my legacy.
Each page tells the same tale, with different details for now,
Someday I hope to write a different story anyhow.
